Initial data
March 25, 1968, Vevis, Lithuanian SSR. The observer is P. Petkevicius.
At 20.00 I was standing in the town of Vevis on a hill opposite the lake. There was a hill beyond the lake that was higher than the one I was standing on. In a southeasterly direction / closer to the east / above the hill, I saw a large cluster of red balls of different sizes in the sky, they were the color of fire. They were arranged in the shape of a triangle approximately as shown in Figure 1. Then they imperceptibly changed their location (Figure 2) and they slowly descended and disappeared over the horizon at 20:10.
At 20.15, the fireballs appeared again in the same place, only closer to the south. The shape of the location in the picture 3. Then, imperceptibly, they changed the shape of the location (Figure 4) and at 20:25 they disappeared over the horizon again and did not appear again.
The observer provides the following apparent data on the distance and height of the balls: the distance is 10-15 km, the height is 200-300 m.
