A witness leaving the metro station Sviblovo on January 3, 1979, got up at a bus stop located nearby. The time was approximately 9 p.m. Frost. There are yellow stars in the sky.
Suddenly, he noticed how, from the right to the left, from behind the new building of the Institute of Cuba, some kind of unusually shaped body flew out at high speed and entered the clouds and lit them from the inside. He waited for the explosion, but it did not come. Having flared up, the clouds went out and everything became as before. Behind the shell, a trail ("blue dig ray") spread over a long distance.
