Initial data
Residents of the village of Mondy I. Bazarov and V. Ambaev returning home on the evening of December 27, I989
A year later, on a truck, they saw a dark red ball in the sky ahead, a light beam radiating from it to the ground.
Soon the beam went out, and the ball, rapidly increasing in size, moved towards the observers. Exchanging surprised exclamations, they slowed down and got out of the car. When the object was already directly above them, it had a crescent shape, sweeping forward with a bulge.
Against the background of the almost black sky, it was possible to clearly distinguish how something like sparks separated from the sickle forward and to the sides.
Since it flew at a relatively low altitude, eyewitnesses are confident in correctly determining its size: 3-4 m from one tip of the sickle to the other and 1 - 1.5 m across.
