Akhmetzyanov Ravil writes to the Commission on:
I read an article in the newspaper Trud dated January 30, "Exactly at 4.10" and decided to describe a similar phenomenon that I had observed with a friend since April 1975 (possibly in 1974).
On this day, we were returning along the Gorky highway from the Glubokoe forest Lake, which is located 3 km from Kazan.
this event took place in the evening, around 18-00 (the sun had already set, but it was still light).
As soon as we came out of the forest (there is a gas station here), we immediately noticed in the sky a bright spot of light orange color larger than the visible Mars by 4 times, which was moving towards us from the north.
At first they thought it was a helicopter illuminated by the sun. But from this object on the left side, at an angle of 45 degrees, a beam very similar to the beam of a searchlight fell to the ground.
The spot began to approach, while the beam constantly moved in different directions and the spot itself deviated slightly from its previous course.
We waited for the spot to get closer so that we could get a better look at it.
But soon there was a bright flash, the beam disappeared, and from the object, which seemed to us to be about 4 km away, two rings of light quickly scattered one after the other (it looks like cirrus clouds), which went separately across the entire sphere of the sky. After that, the object decreased by almost half and immediately changed course, began to move at a very high speed eastward along the city. The height was (so it seemed to us) about 4-5 km. In terms of time, it took about 100-15 minutes. no sound phenomena were observed.
