I read your article "So, UFOs?" in January 5 in Trud. I decided in response to your request to write about it and share my own impressions.

In the summer of 1978, I was vacationing in the village Vozmozero of the Belozersky district of the Vologda region. 

It happened at night. Four of us guys were sitting on the shore of the lake and burning a bonfire. To be fair, we were talking about UFOs. And just imagine: a night, a bonfire, conversations that make you shudder and suddenly... Yes, suddenly a dot flashes above the lake, or rather beyond the lake, on the opposite shore above the forest. The color is crimson, the size is slightly smaller than the lunar disk.

I'll be honest: already at that time my eyesight was impaired, about -1.5 D. so I won't say, but I'll tell you what my friend told me. she saw how the dot (ball) flashed into 2 parts, one of them immediately went out, the other remained (I did not see this). And here's what happened after: It took about 10-20 seconds. after the ball appeared and it disappeared, it went out. But, But it appeared almost immediately, but below exactly the place where it was before, then went out again and flashed again below. thus he descended into the forest. While he was coming down, blinking, I looked at my watch - 0:00 - no, honestly, exactly 12 o'clock at night "when the forces of evil reign supreme."

So, the dot disappeared, we started talking together, but everyone had one thing on their tongue: "They won't believe it!".

10-15 minutes passed, we were almost about to go home, but then we saw the same ball again in the same place where it had fallen, now, also blinking, it was rising: it would go out and light up higher, etc., all this was repeated 4-5 times, then the ball stopped flashing, hung motionless for a while Burning brightly and calmly, and then began to grow.

I got the impression that he was approaching us. It became a little creepy and terribly interesting, how will it all end? Then I thought, what if I scream? And she screamed - I don't remember what, maybe it was just a girly squeal, but the point is that the balloon immediately went out, and we didn't see anything else. The guys asked why I screamed, and I wonder if he went out screaming or on his own?

Of course, we had enough conversations about this for a long time. As we expected, no one believed us, therefore, I do not pretend to your faith in everything that I have written here. I can name the three who were with me that night on the beach, if that's what you need. It has been 7 years since then. I have told about this phenomenon to teachers at school, university teachers, the military and many others, now to you. I am very interested in all such phenomena, and if scientists do explain it, I will be very glad.

Honestly, this is not a fantastic story, because otherwise I would have sent this letter to a different address.
