Pospelov N.B. writes to the Commission on AYA.:
I read a note in "Soviet Russia": "UFO: subscription box 664".
I also had to observe an abnormal phenomenon in the XI of 1982.
At that time, I was working as the chief accountant of the Sannikov state farm in the Algai region and, as usual, I was at work late.
On December 25, I had to watch a TV show at 8.30 local time (16.30 Moscow time), so I left the office at 8.20. I had to go home near the high school building, where the fire was only in the principal's office. The lights went out, the door banged shut and someone walked briskly towards our houses.
"The headmaster," I think.
He lived in a house not far from me. Suddenly he stopped and walked towards me.
"Pyotr Borisovich," he says."What is that in the sky?"
I raised my head and saw an object moving from Barnaul towards the Talmenka station. It's from south to north. At an angle of 45 degrees to the horizon, a regular-shaped white ball was moving, as if out of a fog, in the middle of the ball was a strongly glowing round object (like a searchlight). The ball was moving evenly, at the same speed, there was no change in the glow, or a change in course, and we did not observe such sounds.
If the diameter of the ball is taken as 2 meters, then a highly luminous object is 50 centimeters. When the object approached the line of our observation, the highly luminous object took on an elliptical shape, and when it approached 30 degrees, only the face remained luminous, flying further-again an elliptical shape and, finally, completely round.
"A flying saucer!" we determined. Time of flight or movement of an object (phenomenon) it was 3-4 minutes and then he disappeared over the horizon. The start of the observation is approximately 16 hours. 25 minutes. (Moscow region) The night was dark. There was no moon. There was also no clouds and no wind.
We listened to see if a plane was flying or if a train was coming. Everything was quiet. We were, as it were, in the east, and the object was observed (as I said, flying from south to north) west of us.
The distance from us to Barnaul is about 10 kilometers straight, to the airport 25, to the line of the tel. road 3 km. If you can't call it a hallucination. It cannot be the same for 2 people at the same time!
In Altayskaya Pravda (regional newspaper) somewhere in October-November 1982, there was an article by a comrade from Yaroslavl to inform him about UFOs.
