Georgy Vladimirovich Kozlov writes from Moscow. He sent this letter to the USSR Academy of Sciences back in 1978, but did not receive any explanation in response.
"In September, I went with some of my friends to the village to visit my mother. She lived in the village of Lobanovka, Chirikovsky district, in the Mogilev region. Our help was needed on business, so I took my comrades with me.
Late in the evening, we decided to go outside with the guys for a smoke before going to bed. That's when we saw Something, and that's why I'm writing to you at the Academy of Sciences. It was exactly in the shape of a disk, perfectly round. We still couldn't figure out if it was spinning or just hanging in the air. Then this flying object began to maneuver sharply from side to side, leaving a small trail behind it. It felt like the aircraft had a tail.
One of our people then said: "The devil is drying gold on his tail."
These words still stick in my head. We thought it was some kind of alien ship. But they did not become afraid. The device did not approach closer to the ground, and we felt safe. Then the damn ship made a few more turns around my mother's house and flew away.
The next day we went to ask the neighbors who else had seen this flying anomaly. But absolutely everyone looked at us like we were jerks and told us not to tell them nonsense."
