UFO. Bulgaria

UFO sightings in Bulgaria between Sofia and Karlovo on 31.12.78 (9-30 - 10-00) Duration about 2 minutes.

In connection with the celebration of the New Year in 1979, my wife (Todorka), niece (Dimitrina) and her husband (Gango) were traveling on the train from Mazanlik to Sofia, where my sister lives. We drove at 7.20 Bulgarian time (8.20 Moscow time). Around 8.30 - 9.00 (9.30 - 10 Moscow time). The train stopped at an unfamiliar locality to let an oncoming train pass.

There were 8 people in the carriage compartment. Everyone was waiting to go again. Once I looked out the window and saw a bright dot like a star. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and there were no clouds!

- Well, look at it! I said.

Everyone looked out the window. NAYA (in Bulgarian, a UFO is an unidentified flying object) was moving towards us (to the train). This bright dot turned into a vertical cylinder (with something dark in the middle of the cylinder), then turned into a horizontal cylinder (again something dark, black) and finally turned into the shape of a plate.

At that time, the train started and, after a few seconds, we could no longer observe it. All 8 people in our compartment were watching this. The total observation time is about 2 minutes. They did not hear any sounds or noise, perhaps because they were on the train.

The object was observed in the southeastern part of the sky and was moving in a northwesterly direction. The object was white and yellow in color, brighter than the full moon. There was no cloud cover. There was only one Sun in the sky.

During the observation, I was curious.
