V.Demidov, "We are the last to leave", Moscow, 1969. Cit. op V.Rubtsov, "The Riddle of our sky", p. 6.:
"A curious case occurred in 1961 in the north of our country.
On April 21, forester V.M. Brodsky discovered a strange funnel on the shore of a small lake near Onega.A group consisting of divers, pyrotechnics and an instrument technician was sent to the scene. What did they see?
" . . .The steep shore of a small oblong lake. From our side
— grey buildings..On the other hand, there is a silent mysterious forest. A huge piece of land has been torn out right in front of one of the buildings.. The largest
the length of the pit is about 27 m. Width - more than 15. Depth - 3. There is a small polynya near the shore. There are rare disheveled ice floes in it. Then there is smooth swelling ice."The ice floes floating in the polynya turned out to be quite strange.
"Imagine a piece of ice about thirty centimeters thick. And
the entire lower part of it, the one that was in the water, is painted in a bright emerald color. No, painted is not the right word. It's just that half of the ice floe has absorbed an unusual color."Note that the conclusion of the laboratory of fine chemical analysis of the Leningrad Technical Institute, which studied this ice, read:
"The elements defined in the melted ice do not make it possible to explain its green color, which was indicated by the participants of the expedition."
During the dive, a diver found a strange trail at the bottom of the lake.
"It looks like a huge pipe was lying. Then the roller is about one and a half meters high. As if "she" was pushing the ground in front of her, she stopped. Nothing further."
Small, very persistent grains of inorganic origin were found in the water of the polynya, which, according to the expert opinion, "apparently are not a natural formation."
All the hypotheses put forward by the researchers (meteorite, ball lightning, etc.) were convincingly refuted by experts. I had to limit myself to the conclusion that a certain "cylindrical object with a diameter of about 4 meters, hitting the shore, tore out about a thousand cubic meters of frozen earth from it, broke through the ice, crawled along the bottom for about 20 meters and flew vertically upwards.
