In the summer of 1971, in late August or early September, I was with a group of other artists in the village of Pleshcheyevo near Uglich, on the banks of the Yukhot River, which flows into the Volga.

One morning I went to the wrong place to draw a clearing in the forest. He worked with passion. around 11-12 o'clock in the afternoon, I suddenly experienced an unpleasant feeling - as if someone was watching me, which caused an unaccountable alarm. Looking up from my work, I noticed a silver disk hanging over the birches 300 meters away, near the river. Uleika, the upper part of the disk, resembling an inverted saucer, had a translucent dome, which was poorly visible, rather the disk was guessed. It hung motionless, there were no sound effects, as well as light ones.

I did not see him for 3-5 minutes and I did not notice how he disappeared because, despite the unpleasant depressing impression, I continued to work.

When he disappeared, I went out into a nearby large clearing, began to look for him, but did not see him anywhere.
