Initial data
Back in 1948, American pilot Thomas Mantell, who served in the Kentucky National Guard, encountered a huge "metal" object moving at incredible speed during a patrol.
Despite the lack of oxygen, Mantell continued his pursuit, trying to catch up with the mysterious object.
As a result, the object disappeared, and Mantell, having lost consciousness due to lack of oxygen, fell and died. Experts recognized the mysterious object as a weather balloon, but many researchers still believe that Mantell was the victim of a UFO encounter.
