Initial data
LIONEL BROWNING Anglican Minister and Tasmanian Secretary of the World Council of Churches, and his wife, Mrs. Browning, Mrs. DORIS Brunsden and so on. residents of Cressy.
According to Browning, at first they "saw a large dull gray object about 300 feet long." . . . it was like I was stopping." The witness estimated the object's speed to be less than 50 miles per hour.
The UFO was motionless for about 30 seconds. Then 5 or 6 small disks came out of the clouds above and behind the ship, flying at a terrible speed. According to the minister, they were about 30 feet in diameter and flat, with a dome at the top. They "moved" towards the ship like flat stones bouncing on the surface of the water." The priest and his wife remained silent about their observation until they heard reports from other eyewitnesses, including Ms. D. Brunsden.
The Air Force reported that no aircraft were flying in the area at the specified time.
It is noteworthy that the priest, according to him, did not believe in UFOs before this incident.
This observation was discussed on October 18, 1960 in the Australian Senate.
