USA, NYOD-GERSI, Wanaque Reservoir
Police Sergeant Robert Gordon, his wife and Mrs. Lorenne Varga,
The neighbor is the first phase of surveillance; Police Sergeant Ben Thompson and Mrs. Oldman are the second phase.
21 hours and 10 minutes. Robert Gordon was vacationing at his home near the Pompton Lakes. Suddenly his wife called him:
"Come here quickly, there's a UFO here."
The sergeant reluctantly (because he did not believe in UFOs) went out into the garden and saw a bright light source located high above a nearby 500-foot TV tower, and slowly moving in a northeasterly direction, towards the Vanak reservoir.
The object or light source had a regular round shape with clear edges, and was surrounded by a soft glow. He was moving silently, at a speed of about 20 miles per hour.
Gordon, realizing that the object was something unusual, ran home and called the police. He did not report his surveillance, but urged police officers to come to his house. As the sergeant explained:
"Before reporting anything, I wanted someone else besides me, my wife, and Ms. Varg to see this phenomenon."
Just when the police car arrived, the object, which had been observed for about 6-7 minutes, left the field of view and disappeared over the hill, to the side where the reservoir is located.
The police radioed Sergeant Ben, who was patrolling the tank, and informed him about the UFO.
"I received the message at 9-15... The phenomenon looked like a bright light source hovering at an altitude of about 250 feet. It was, I think, the size of a car, or about 8 feet in diameter. I approached, turned off the engine and turned off the headlights."
The object was stationary for 2 minutes, but then suddenly began to move, maneuvering silently over the lake, at very high speed and with 90-degree turns.
The object rotated and shone with such a bright light that an area with a diameter of about half a mile was illuminated. Thompson compared this light to the light of an electric arc. The shape is sometimes a solid disk, sometimes a "sombrero" (when moving with a roll angle).
"But the most interesting thing was that when the object approached the water level for a short distance, its surface on an area with a diameter of several hundred feet suddenly rose to a height of about 3 feet, as if sucked in by something or attracted by a magnet. Then the water dropped again."
A similar phenomenon occurred when a UFO was moving over the forest - the treetops stretched to one point, and then slowly straightened.
When Sergeant Thompson turned on the red warning light on the roof of his car, the UFO rapidly flew away towards the mountains and disappeared as if it had been turned off.
