Initial data
1954, October 17; the first half of the day; nesk. seconds. SWEDEN, between MALMO and STOCKHOLM, DS-3 aircraft.
Captain ULF CHRISTIANSON, pilot of the aircraft; OLE JOHANSON, mechanic.
"We were at an altitude of 2000 m," said Captain Christianson. Visibility was excellent. We were flying north, and the sun was shining
on the right, when I suddenly saw something that I initially thought was a jet heading northeast. The silhouette of the device was very distinct, it was approaching us at a speed of at least 5-6 thousand km/h.A few seconds later, he passed under my DS-3 at an altitude of about 1,250 m. My mechanic also observed it, and we were able to compare our impressions.
I had never seen anything like it: it was an absolutely symmetrical, rounded device, like some kind of robot. White and metallic in color, it did not leave any trace behind it on its course above the clouds."
