Initial data
4 white lights over Emmen
Floating around. Sometimes we move away from each other. Sometimes towards each other. But always with 4 light bulbs.
Also; there is no ray of light from the ground. My daughter has a video of one shooting. Faster compared to others.
The complete disappearance of the lights was gradual. The altitude was just behind the clouds. Not on clouds, as with the advertising light of the projector.
There was no sound. Yes, there are several witnesses.
The most likely explanation according to ufomeldpunt.nl Advertising lighting:
Skybeamers draw moving patterns on the cloud cover.
Original news
4 witte lichten boven Emmen
EMMEN, DR — Zweven rond.
Meest waarschijnlijke verklaring
Promotionele verlichting
Skybeamers tekenen bewegende patronen op het wolkendek.
Hypotheses
Light sources on clouds
Lasers, searchlights, car headlights and other light sources of sufficient power can form a column of light in a dusty or foggy atmosphere, various patterns on low clouds, fog or haze. Also, the rays can highlight parts of the cloud, objects or birds, giving them bizarre shapes.
Searchlights can shine with one beam, several. They can be stationary, move, and also form spinning carousels on the clouds, which can change shape and color.
It often seems that the light source is located at the point where the beam hits the cloud, and not vice versa.
Investigation
Indeed, in the video it looks like floodlights on low clouds.
