Alexander Yakovlevich (geologist) tells the story.
In July 1977, during my vacation, I pitched a tent in a deserted forest near the town of Pitkyaranta in Karelia.
It was the second half of a clear, cloudless day, I was sitting on the bank of a small river and fishing, 150 meters from the tent. I got so carried away with fishing that I didn't notice anything around. At some point, I suddenly felt that someone was looking at me (there was complete silence and no wind in the pine forest).
I looked back and against the background of the sky I saw a figure 2-3 m away from me, holding his hands at his sides and spreading his legs, who was looking at me (I felt this look). The figure did not have a pronounced outline and details of the structure. it consisted entirely of longitudinal blue stripes, as happens on a TV screen. At first I wasn't even scared, I was just taken aback.
When I began to look at the figure, it began to blur before my eyes, melting from the edges to the axis and disappeared after a while.
I didn't feel scared, but nevertheless I reeled in my fishing rods and returned to the tent where my wife was sleeping.
