Army of the Dead

USA. A military convoy transporting an unknown cargo from Zone 51 collides with a car driven by scattered newlyweds. A zombie with superhuman abilities comes out of the container, which kills the soldiers and infects two of them. Zombies are heading to Las Vegas, the epidemic caused by them quickly devastates the city. The military intervention fails, forcing the government to isolate the city by erecting a wall around it.

Former mercenary Scott Ward is approached by casino owner Bly Tanaka and his assistant Martin with a request to steal more than $ 200 million from the gambling house's vault before the military destroys the city with a tactical nuclear strike. The soldier of Fortune agrees and enlists his former comrades Maria Cruz and Vanderoch, as well as helicopter pilot Marianne Peters, German safe cracker Ludwig Dieter and Mexican sniper Mikey Guzman, who brings his assistant Chambers with him. Martin also joins the team to monitor their work in the interests of the customer. To get into Vegas, the mercenaries resort to the help of Ward's daughter Kate, who works in a quarantine camp near the city. The relationship between father and daughter deteriorated after Scott was forced to kill his wife who turned into a zombie. Kate directs them to Lily, who knows the geography of the city, who, for unknown reasons, also takes a quarantine camp guard Bert Cummings with her. Kate decides to join the team to find her friend Gita in Vegas.

After meeting with the zombie tiger Valentine, who is guarding the entrance to the city, Lily shoots and wounds Cummings in revenge for sexually assaulting camp workers and refugees. She then explains to the team that there are two groups of zombies: "ordinary "and more intelligent, "alphas", which will allow them to safely pass into the city in exchange for a sacrifice. The Alpha Female Bride picks up Cummings and takes him to the Olympus Casino, where he is infected by the alpha leader Zeus. Lily leads the team through the building to avoid detection, but they come across a lot of ordinary zombies who have fallen into hibernation. Ward makes his way through the zombies with the help of glow sticks. Chambers suspects Martin of ulterior motives, so he leads her astray and thereby wakes up the zombies. When the zombies attack, Guzman is forced to kill the bitten Chambers along with the rest of the dead.

The team reaches Bligh's casino. Scott and Kate turn on the power supply, Peters prepares the helicopter on the roof, and Dieter begins to open the vault. Martin and Lily remain outside as sentries, but instead lure the Bride into an open space, after which Martin beheads her and takes her head for himself. Zeus discovers the body and directs all the alpha zombies to the casino. The news reports about an early nuclear strike, which leaves the team with a little less than an hour to complete the work. When Dieter opens the vault, Ward discovers that Kate has gone to look for Gita. Scott and Cruz go to look for her, but they are attacked by alphas and kill Maria.

During the escape, Martin lures the team into a trap in the basement. It turns out that Bly, together with the government, worked to create an army of zombies, which just need the Bride's head to control. But on the street, he discovers that Lily has replaced the zombie's head with a money counter, after which he is killed by the zombie tiger Valentine. Vanderoch tries to fight Zeus, but he easily defeats him, and Dieter sacrifices himself to save his partner by locking him in a vault. Ward, Lily and Guzman reach the lobby, where they are attacked by zombies. Guzman sacrifices himself and explodes grenades, killing zombies and destroying money. When the mercenaries reach the roof, they are attacked by Zeus. Lily distracts him with the Bride's head, allowing Ward and Peters to escape. Zeus kills Lily, but before she dies, she manages to throw the Bride's head off the roof.

Ward asks Peters to take him to the Olympus to pick up Kate. She finds Gita, but they are attacked by an infected Cummings, whom she eventually manages to kill. They are eventually cornered by Zeus, but Scott manages to drive him away with explosives in time. They climb up to the roof and get into the helicopter, but Zeus catches up with them and jumps inside. Although the alpha bites Ward, he eventually kills him. A nuclear warhead hits Vegas, and the resulting shock wave leads to a helicopter crash and the death of Peters and Gita. Kate finds her dying father, who gives her money for a new life. After that, Scott turns into a zombie and Kate has to kill him. When the rescue helicopter arrives, she cries.

Locked in the vault, Vanderoh survives the explosion and leaves with the remaining money. He goes to Utah, where he rents a private plane to fly to Mexico City. In flight, he begins to feel dizzy, and his body temperature drops. In the toilet room, the mercenary finds marks on his hand from the bites left by Zeus, and realizes that he is turning into a zombie.
