Disappearing lake in the South of Tasmania in Australia is hard to find and even more difficult to reach. As the name suggests, sometimes a lake, disappears, and photographers with tourists left with nothing. But recently, heavy rain has given the region a new life.
Photographer and blogger James Spencer visited the site on Saturday, after a tedious 6,5-kilometer ascent of the mountain. And do not regret it — photos of the crystal clear water in the pristine Tasmanian nature turned amazing.
Glacial lake is a reservoir, which is formed when the circus on the mount fills with water after heavy rainfall or by melting of the glacier. It is unclear how it is formed this lake, but it usually appears in heavy rain, when there is an easterly wind on the East coast overlook the cyclones.
