Three bystanders were camping on the site of a Maori mound when one of them suddenly awoke to find the creature staring at them. Then her memory disappeared. At 04:00, all three woke up and left the area.

Under hypnosis, one of the witnesses recalled that she and one of her companions were attracted by a beam of light on Board a glowing dome-shaped ship in the shape of a disk.

Inside, they were met by a medium-sized humanoid creature in silver calf-length boots. He communicated by telepathy and warned them to remain silent about the experience.
