Two teachers in their 50s had gone for a short circular walk in the early evening through the fields and were almost home, walking along the road, when they looked up and saw the figure of a man dressed in what looked like black jumpsuits, descending as if on a parachute. He was walking about 50 yards (15 m) from the last house in the row.
They thought it would land in the meadow behind them. But when it was only 15 feet (4.5 m) off the ground, it leveled off and began to slowly accelerate, very smoothly gaining altitude and heading north.
They watched him cross the valley and disappear into the distance. They did not see any means of transportation on the figure. Nothing obviously attached to his back, no noise, nothing they could detect.
Visibility that day was excellent.

He was coming down about 50 yards away behind the last house in the row. They thought he was going to land in the meadow beyond. But when he was only about 15 ft off the ground he leveled out and began to slowly accelerate, climbing very gently and heading off in a northerly direction. They watched as he crossed the valley and disappeared into the distance. They did not see any means of propulsion on the figure. Nothing visibly attached to his back, no noise, nothing that they could detect. The visibility was excellent that day.
