Many local residents reported to the police that they had met or seen an unusual character, who was dubbed the "Madman from the Roofs". He is said to jump from roof to roof using supernatural acrobatic abilities.
Witnesses describe him as more than two meters tall, dressed all in black, wearing a raincoat and carrying some kind of cane or "cane". His eyes are said to glow red when confronted by witnesses.
Some describe him as a kind of" cat-man " that they could only see in silhouette and obscuring his face, but when his face is seen, his eyes are said to glow red. It is said that it first appeared in the suburb of Centenario near the local football stadium, and then in the suburbs of El Arenal, San Lorenzo, Chalet and Santa Rosa de Lima. A resident of the El Arenal sector reported that he shot 17 times at the mysterious stranger, who seemed completely immune to bullets.
It seemed as if he had provoked or spurred on the witness by howling like an animal, or crying like a child, jumping from roof to roof like a cat. Many locals armed themselves with clubs and knives. Most of the witnesses describe the attacker as a comic book character, very tall, able to jump over the streets in one jump and climb steep smooth walls up to 7 meters high.
A resident of the city claims that she saw a man, and then he disappeared into thin air. Another woman claims to have seen a man point a finger at her, causing her to become completely paralyzed.
