New Zealand scientist will try to find traces of DNA of unknown animals in water samples from the Scottish lake Loch ness. Professor Neil Gemmell (Neil Gemmell) from new Zealand the University of Otago is going to solve the problem of finding a mythical monster of the Scottish Loch ness, with the help of DNA tests, reports JoInfo.ua.
He's going to do sampling of water, then seek in them traces of unknown DNA methods used by criminologists, according to NewsHub.
Gemmell says:
"All the large animals lose cells, moving around their environment. New genomic technologies sensitive enough to detect them, and we can compare the found DNA fragments available in databases, which also include the majority of known living beings. If the lake lived something unusual, these DNA tools could provide proof of that".
Journalist JoinInfoMedia Christina Kovtun learned that sampling will be implemented in 2017. British scientists promised to help in this matter. However, in their opinion, not so important, will be found in the lake something or not: on the views of ordinary people is not affected. The Loch ness monster is in fact an urban legend.
