An eyewitness from Rijswijk (South Holland) writes:
I looked out the window around 23:50 and noticed something like a sphere. Rather, it had the shape of a semi-oval. At first he moved very imperceptibly, and after a few minutes a second one appeared, which was smaller and "hung" in the air below.
I tried to take a picture, but the second one was gone. The other lasted for 15 minutes, and then became smaller (to a bright spot), after which it disappeared.

Lichtbollen (halve ovalen)
RIJSWIJK, ZH — Ik keek rond 23.50 uur naar buiten vanaf het raam en een soort bol viel me op. Het had eerder de vorm van een halve ovaal. Het bewoog eerst heel subtiel en na een paar minuten verscheen er een tweede, die was kleiner en ‘hing’ lager in de lucht. Probeerde een foto te maken, maar die tweede was al weg. Die andere bleef nog zo’n 15 minuten en werd daarna kleiner (tot lichtpuntje), waarna hij verdween.
