I have just read in the newspaper "Trud" for January 30 an article by V. Vostrukhin "Exactly at 4.10" and decided to write to you. The fact is that I also observed one mysterious phenomenon.

In September 1984, our student group worked at the Volya state farm in the Lyubytinsky district of the Novgorod region. Approximately in the middle of September, my friend Vladimir Karasev and I were at about 4 am on the highway leading from Lyubytino to Borovichi, approximately between the central estate of the Volya state farm and the village of Artem, on the outskirts of some village whose name I do not remember, moving on foot towards Artem. Hearing the noise of an approaching car, we turned in the direction of Lyubytino and began to "vote". the car didn't stop, and we decided to continue on our way. But at that moment, against the background of the black sky and blue stars, above the forest, to the right of the road, in the direction of Lyubytin, we saw a yellow star that was moving upwards. The first thought was that it was a lighting rocket launched far away from us, but firstly, we did not hear the sound of a shot, it moved very straight, and stood out against the background of the sky from other stars only in yellow color and movement. And what we saw a few seconds later made us forget about this assumption.

Suddenly, in the place where the dot was, a spot appeared, having a vague shape of a small circle. There was no clear boundary between the spot and the sky background. There was a continuous change of colors in the spot, it was quite multicolored.

The color palette consisted of almost all colors except black. Almost immediately after the appearance of the spot, we observed another strange phenomenon: fog or smoke began to spread around it, I don't even know what to call it. Soon this fog took up half of the sky. At the same time, according to my observations, the nebula had the boundaries of an almost even semicircle. Moreover, its center, according to my ideas, was somewhere near the surface of the earth. Gradually, a spot resembling a comma with a check mark on the right began to stand out in the center of the radiance. Soon, the fog and the radiance that was around disappeared. only a "comma" remained against the sky. it had a color somewhere between light blue and light green

We continued on our way, but this mysterious glow was visible in the sky until sunrise. gradually, the comma began to stretch into a strip, and to stretch from the left side for the comma tick.

During this time, we walked about 6 km along the road, but the size of the "nebula" did not decrease, therefore it was very far away from us and at a high altitude. she occupied a large place against the sky. my words can be confirmed firstly by Vladimir Karasev, who observed this phenomenon with me, and secondly by the guys who saw the "nebula" in the sky around 6 am.
