Initial data
On May 7, 1989, two Mirage fighters were raised to intercept from the military airbase in Johannesburg. The pilots were ordered not to stand on ceremony with the violator of the airspace of South Africa and open fire to kill.
The downed unknown object fell in the Kalahari Desert, about 120 km from the border with Botswana. The fighter continued to circle over the crash site until the South African military arrived. The area around the object was so hot that sand and rocks were baked together. Radioactivity was off the scale, and military equipment refused to work.
The strange aircraft was made of a durable polished silver material with no visible joints, and the portholes were unevenly scattered along the side of the ship. In addition, the military saw that elements resembling the chassis were pushed out from the bottom of the ship. It seemed that the ship was not falling uncontrollably from the sky, but was trying to land.
The search team opened the hatch and found two living crew members dressed in tight-fitting gray suits. After they were extracted from the ship, it turned out that their heads with huge eyes were much larger than their one and a half meter bodies. In fact, the military report described creatures that most people call "gray" aliens.
The alien ship was immediately taken to a secret military base in South Africa, and all traces of the incident were wiped off the face of the earth. After that, the UFO was transported to the US Air Force Base Wright-Patterson, which is located in western Ohio, near the city of Dayton.
I wonder what happened next?…

In May 1989, a mysterious incident occurred in the African Kalahari desert, associated with the crash of an unidentified flying object (UFO). This event was called the "Silver Diamond" and was surrounded by the highest degree of secrecy. However, despite all precautions, classified information has come out, and now we can tell you about what happened.
It all started on May 7, 1989, when the South African Navy frigate "Sa Tafelberg" transmitted a message to the base about the observation of an unknown object moving at a speed of more than 5,000 miles per hour in the direction of the coastline. The South African Air Force immediately raised two Mirage fighters to intercept the object. Squadron commander Gozen led the senior flight and pursued UFOs. Soon the object entered the airspace of South Africa.
Gozen reported that the UFO made a sharp maneuver impossible for the "Mirages", but contact with the object was not lost. The order came from earth - to shoot down a UFO. The fighters opened fire and recorded direct hits. The object began to dive to the ground and fell in the Kalahari Desert 80 kilometers from the border. A funnel with a diameter of 150 meters and a depth of 12 meters was found at the crash site, in which there was a disc-shaped object with a diameter of 18 meters and a height of 8 meters.
Air Force officers and technical experts immediately arrived at the crash site. They found that the object had no connecting seams and had 12 oval-shaped portholes around the perimeter. Only one of the three available telescopic supports was fully extended. The object was delivered to one of the secret Air Force bases.
And then something incredible happened. Two humanoid creatures emerged from the facility, one of which was injured. They were 120 to 150 centimeters tall, with grayish-blue skin and disproportionately large heads. They had slanted eyes without pupils, hands up to their knees with three fingers. The creatures communicated with each other, apparently telepathically. But scientists were unable to take blood and skin samples due to humanoid resistance.
The device and both humanoids were transported to the USA. However, contact with them could not be established, and a few days after delivery to the United States, the wounded humanoid died. In September 1989, the second humanoid died. An internal autopsy showed that the organs of the pilots of the ship were completely different from human ones - there were no liver, kidneys and stomach, but there were many arteries and substances resembling chlorophyll.
The mystery of the UFO crash in the Kalahari Desert remained unknown for a long time. However, a certain James van Groenen decided to expose this secret. He presented a certificate of an intelligence officer of South Africa and photocopies of documents confirming his participation in Operation Silver Diamond. Van Groenen violated the obligation of secrecy, believing that hiding this information would be "treason to all mankind."
The journalists conducted an investigation and found the pilot Gozen, who confirmed that he really fired at an unknown object in the air. One of the South African intelligence officers also confirmed the operation "Silver Diamond". Thus, James van Groenen's story was confirmed.
