Initial information from sources or from an eyewitness
Incident date:
2004
Location:
Карония
Italy

This is the first case in which not a person or a family has EVER been injured, but an entire city, which occurred in the winter of 2004 in Caronia, a city north of Sicily, Italy. Reports and statements began to arrive on January 4, while others claim that it began on January 21.

Household appliances such as televisions, vacuum cleaners, stoves, and even wedding gifts suddenly caught fire without any explanation. At least one person in the small town, a policeman, claimed to have witnessed some of the incidents.

Newspaper articles began to spread, and various stories began to spread like wildfire. All sorts of explanations were offered: It was nothing more than a simple coincidence, demonic forces, a railway system, and even a magnifying transmitter.

The mayor of the city considered that this was a natural cause. This phenomenon decreased, but resumed in April of the same year. The reasons are still unknown, but just in case and to avoid any problems in the future, the village power systems have been completely improved compared to the old ones.

In conclusion, they found that the fires were caused by static electric charges, not artificial ones, since the power of the charges reached from 12 to 15 gigawatts.

The electromagnetic field

The electromagnetic field is a force field generated around the moving electric charges equivalent to the amount of electric and magnetic fields, the vectors of which are located at right angles to each other. The main sources of household electromagnetic fields are power lines, home wiring, etc.

Frequency spectrum of electromagnetic fields is very wide: from Y-rays with a wavelength of less than 10-13 m to radio waves, the length of which measured in kilometers.
