It happened on 4 February 1991 in the city of Kandalaksha (Murmansk oblast). The young couple, Natalia and Nikolai Kravets went out for an evening stroll, taking a camera. They climbed the hill and stopped on the track, in the middle of a small forest. Choosing a place near a snow-covered pine, Nicholas did two scenes with Natalia on the memory. It was about 22:00 and while shooting the couple anything unusual have not noticed, is that Natalia was dizzy and then they hurried home.
Showing the film after some time, Nicholas found in the second frame strange object directly overhead Natalia — spherical and appendages, similar to tentacles. This caused great surprise and lack of understanding of why one shot facility, and the second (done after the first) object appeared. And most importantly, it remains unclear why the facility did not notice while photographing.
Some time later, the information about the unusual photo ended up on the page of the local newspaper "the Kandalaksha Communist", and the story of Natalia and Nicholas became known to the whole town, becoming a local legend.
