Although Fred Valentich went missing almost 40 years ago, his disappearance still dominates the minds of hunters UFO.
In 1978, 20-year-old pilot Frederick Valentich went missing. He tried to make a training flight in a light airplane Cessna 182L over the bass Strait between Australia and Tasmania. At that time Valentich was quite an experienced pilot, flying for about 150 hours.
On the evening of 21 October he flew from moorabbin airport in the direction of the island king, intending to overcome the 200 km over the Strait of bass. At 19:06 Valentich gave in Melbourne, noticed an unknown aircraft, following it at a height of 1.5 km, but the Manager said that there are no objects. The pilot continued to insist that the aircraft with four bright landing lights, and then added that he flew over him at high speed.
The next five minutes Valentich reported on the movements of the plane that supposedly "revolves around him". In addition, the pilot described that the aircraft are shiny and metallic, and from it comes a green light. Soon Fred Valentich reported that he had problems with the engine. And then uttered the phrase "it's not a plane", and the connection is terminated. The last sound heard, the Manager, was the sound of scratching on metal. Melbourne flight service suggested that Valentich crashed, but further searches yielded nothing. In the end the pilot was presumed dead and the case was closed.
But it was far from complete. Five years after the disappearance of Valentich on the coast of the island Flinders threw the flap of the engine cowling. Experts noted that the same plane that flew Valentich. Moreover, he had the serial numbers in the same range as that of the plane Valentich. Poured oil on the fire and the statement Guido Valentich, father of Fred, who said his son believed in the existence of UFOs and most of all afraid that they can attack.
It was also found that Valentich twice tried to join the Royal Australian air force, and both times he was denied because of insufficient experience. He studied commercial pilot, but twice failed the exams. Valentich also received several warnings, having flown once in the forbidden zone over Sydney and twice in the clouds. Ufologists immediately grabbed the case, saying that the pilot was abducted by aliens. They argued that there are eyewitness accounts about the green lights at the time and in the area where Valentich was flying.
The disappearance of young pilot has remained the subject of debate among conspiracy theorists for almost 40 years, though still did not yield any new (valuable and reliable) information. Despite the fact that ufologists insist on alien abduction, real explanation of the disappearance of Valentich not exist, this means that the mystery continues to remain unsolved.
