One of a series of photos taken by Augusto Arranda in Huaylas valley, near Yungay (Peru), during a hike in the mountains at an altitude of about 10,000 feet above sea level.
John. Richard greenwell had made strenuous attempts to find Arrando, but could not meet the man personally.
Hope to check the authenticity of the photos is probably gone forever, when Yungay and most of its 20,000 inhabitants were buried by a giant avalanche in may 1970.

Richard Greenwell made strenuous attempts to locate Arrando, but failed to meet the man in person.
