In the logbook of the Norwegian ship "Avesta" you can read the record that on 6 July 1965 during the transition between Venezuela and the Canary Islands, a signalman on the bridge reported moving in the sky a bright object.
The captain immediately reported this over the phone (later the captain presented the report of the Geophysical Institute in Bergen). In the report, in particular, is a verbatim statement of the chief petty officer "Avesta of" Thorgrim of liena:
"With absolute certainty I can say that in this case we are not talking about an airplane of conventional type, not about the rocket, not meteor and not about ball lightning".
Moreover, other witnesses is very detailed description of the object. They claimed to have seen the flames, and the mysterious object was making sharp unexpected turns. Further, the report States:
"His speed was enormous, and he was moving in the direction from North to South. However, despite tremendous speed and close distance, we have not heard a single coming from it sound. The observer on the port side and the sailor Hernandez Ambrosio argues that the object, as it came from the sea and moved in a northerly direction, then suddenly changed course. Steering, Narciso Gilon noticed the object immediately after it has passed over the ship."
