Se hizo viral a través de la red social Facebook un video donde aseguran la existencia de un supuesto mensaje extraterrestre en la zona de manglar de Bahamita, en la Isla del Carmen, afirmando que unos círculos salieron de la noche a la mañana y que “no hay máquina humana” capaz de crearlos.
Investigadores del Instituto de Ciencias del Mar y Limnología de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) revelaron que, en realidad, los círculos se deben a un proyecto de rescate del mangle que lleva 10 años realizándose.En el vídeo que se difundió en redes, un piloto muestra la serie de círculos perfectos, mismos que se confundieron con un supuesto mensaje.
Por su parte, el doctor Arturo Zaldívar Jiménez, asesor de estudios costeros del Instituto de Ciencias del Mar y Limnología de la UNAM, descartó la presencia de ovnis y dijo que esas formas son parte de un proyecto de conservación y son conocidas como “pasteles”.
Zaldívar manifestó que realizan elevaciones con esa forma, pues antes hicieron estudios topográficos que mostraron en dónde debían colocarse estos círculos de restauración.
El proyecto cuenta con la asesoría del Instituto de Ciencias del Mar y Limnología de la UNAM, la Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (Conanp) y la Comisión Nacional Forestal (Conafor).
