During a drive along Holden Hill on the A38 and tracking down the deer that inhabited the area, the male driver spotted a group of figures on the side of the road.
In the dim light of the spotlight and headlights they seemed to be small men about 90 cm tall, with bald heads, snub-nosed noses, chocolate-dark skin, sharp ears and thick necks. Three creatures stood together, the fourth at some distance. When he got to them, they turned around and went back into the thickets.
