The unidentified woman reported that she was woken up in the bedroom by a blue light shining in a second-floor window and a noise resembling a top.
As she went to the window, she saw what looked like an upturned soup plate hovering over a nearby building. At the top, which was a transparent dome.
She could see two human male figures in shiny blue satin suits. Their heads were bared. One seemed to be in control of the object, the other had his back to the witness.
The distant figure turned to the one who was visible from behind, said something, and laughed. After about a minute, the object flew up, and then disappeared over Wainuiomata (a suburb Lower Hutt in Wellington).
This appearance frightened the witness, and she did not say anything about it for five years.

Going to the window, she saw an object like an inverted soup dish hovering over the next-door building. In the top, which was a clear dome, she could see two human male figures wearing shiny blue, satin-like suits; their heads were bare. One appeared to be controlling the object; the other had his back to the witness. The far figure turned toward the one seen from the back, said something, and laughed. After about a minute, the object shot straight up and then disappeared over the Wainuiomata Hill. Her sighting frightened the witness and she said nothing about it for five years.
