Serge Lisboa (38 years old), his wife Maria (38 years old) and Maria Marmela Santos Costa (21), were driving in Porto and had just passed Tua when they heard a buzzing sound. They went out to see an object in the shape of a white luminous lens, emitting red flashes of light from a transparent dome at its top at an altitude of about 100 feet (30.4 m).
It was only 6 feet (1.8 m) wide and 3 feet (0.9 m) high.
They had passed and passed Alijo when they heard the buzzing again, this time modulated and rhythmic. At the same time, the driver "began to notice some problems with the engine." However, no object was seen.
About 5 km from Villa Real, they came across a bright green glowing cylindrical object standing on the road. Lisboa braked and just managed to avoid it.
At the same time, the occupants of the car noticed two flashing red lights on the left side of the road, at the level of the roadside gravel. As they approached, they saw that these lights were at the tip of the 20-inch antennas on the helmets of two short men in space suits who were lying on their backs by the road, their feet facing the road.
Their suits were shiny and "leaden", giving the impression of pliable foil, they wore spherical helmets with rectangular Windows and gloves on their hands.
The car passed within 6 feet (1.8 m) of these creatures, which are about 5 feet (1.5 m) tall.
Startled, Lisboa tried to speed up, but the car didn't have time to respond. As they passed people and a green object, they heard "indistinct gurgling". Then they saw two humanoids abruptly rise from the ground without moving their arms or legs. They had small "backpacks"on their backs.
Then the two humanoids rose into the air and disappeared from view above the car.

At the same moment, the passengers in the car noticed two flashing red lights on the left side of the road, at the level of the roadside gravel. As they approached they saw that these lights were on the tip of 20′ antennas on the helmets of two short men in astronaut costume, who were lying on their backs beside the road, their feet toward the road. Their suits were shiny and “lead-like”, giving the impression of a malleable foil, and they wore spherical helmets with rectangular windows, and gloves on their hands. They had small “knapsacks” on their backs. The two humanoids then rose into the air, and disappeared form view above the car.
