The witness, a captain of the Soviet Army, Alexander Alexandrov was taking part in the exercise, which was carried out parachute jumps from helicopters. They took off from the Kalinov military airfield in an MI-8 helicopter.
After he jumped, his main parachute did not open, and the machine that opened the auxiliary one got tangled and did not work. He kept falling headfirst to the ground. Startled, he saw the ground approaching, plants and a few running mice, and he also saw several people running towards the possible collision site.
Suddenly, he felt a sharp jerk that suddenly stopped in the air, and saw the darkness around him, there was a flash of light, and he felt the approach. In a dazed state, he looked around and noticed two huge hands grabbing parts of his parachute in the air. He could also see a dark face with large dark intelligent eyes. It was a giant human-shaped alien figure floating in the air beside him.
The creature wore a transparent helmet in the shape of a ball, and its lips were tightly closed. The humanoid had huge broad shoulders and arms, and on his back he wore a transparent cloak through which he could see the sky. The witness and the giant alien stared at each other.
The alien had a shrewd look. His eyes were huge and shining, giving him a solemn look. Alexandrov saw that the alien had tight sleeves on his wrists, which gradually turned into a tight-fitting jumpsuit that covered his entire body.
The creature also had a triangular-shaped, metallic-looking device located on the coverall at its neck, and it had flashing lights of various shades. The alien ran his hand down Alexandrov's back from the spine to the neck, he got a clear impression of the alien grabbing the remaining tangled parts of his parachute and pulling on it, incredibly, the canopy of the parachute opened and Alexander descended, falling gently to the ground.
The alien waved his hand and said something in an unknown language that sounded like "PA-PA" and disappeared into the nearest cloud. On the ground, Alexander saw a bright light receding. At this moment, other soldiers and onlookers hurried to him. They asked in surprise what that huge figure was that broke away from him and flew into the cloud.
Some in the group saw the huge triangular ship moving away from Alexandrov, others claimed that whatever it was, it was diamond-shaped.
