The family noticed three bright lights in a triangle floating above their home.
They went in pursuit and saw something in the grove that looked like a glowing object. However, after the man who had bravely gone to the forest in the dark returned for the others, they all went to the edge of the trees and found that there was nothing there now.
With the first rays of the sun began an investigation. The area around the small pond was muddy. The tracks of witnesses leading to the edge of the site were visible, but no one walked around the pond (except for the tracks of a dog).
However, there were also very unusual markings. These were footprints, but very large, about fourteen inches (35.5 cm) across and with a step length of four feet (1.2 m) between them. Each print was oddly square and with a very strong indentation.

However, after the man who had bravely ventured toward the wood in the dark went back for the others, they all walked into the edge of the trees and found nothing was now there. At first light an investigation began. The area was muddy around a small pond. The tracks of the witnesses leading to the edge of the area were visible but around the pond nobody had walked (except what seemed to be the prints of a dog). However, there were some very unusual marks. These appeared to be footprints, but extremely large ones, some fourteen inches across and with a stride length of four feet between them. Each print was oddly square and very heavily indented.
