Initial data
Mrs Pauline Coombs, 31, and her husband Billy, 36, were watching TV on their farm in Ripperston when they saw a figure in a silver suit in the window.
Pauline, seeing this first, said nothing to her husband until he saw it.
"He had to be more than seven feet (2.1 m) tall because they couldn't see his face."
It was three feet (0.9 m) wide, surrounded by glowing light. His box-shaped helmet framed a dark square area where no face was visible. They immediately called the investigator and the police, but the figure disappeared before they arrived.
