The woman was about to draw the curtains when she turned her attention to what she saw in the darkening sky. She looked out the window and saw an unusual ship that just hung low in the sky, motionless and completely silent.
It was huge, at least 100 feet (30 m) long. It had a cylindrical shape, but rounded at the ends.
There were portholes along the entire length, and she could see figures in silver spacesuits moving inside. She wanted to scream, but she couldn't. She couldn't speak or move. None of the others in the witness room could. They just stood there and watched as the object began to slowly glide across the sky.
Then suddenly it was gone. It was as if he had simply disappeared into thin air. It seemed like they only watched it for a few minutes or so, but when she looked at the clock afterwards and found out that a whole hour had passed.
