The farmer woke up early in the morning to hear his dogs barking. Outside, he saw a UFO on the ground near his home about 100 feet (30 m) away.
It was shaped like a saucer, red in color, and he could see two open doors or ports.
Two small humanoid figures in silver suits were standing next to his kennel. They carried off one of his dogs, which appeared to be unconscious.
He took the gun and opened fire on the creatures. Hitting one, they dropped the animal, and the figure that was hit flew into the bushes, and the second entered the object, which then took off.
Friends who visited the farmer later found him in a state of shock, fearing they would return for retribution.
The incident occurred during a series of UFO sightings in the area.
