During a storm on the Greek island of Crete, a strange animal was washed ashore. The locals have no idea what exactly this creature is.

The animal has absolutely no hair, resembles a small Hippo with four legs. Washed out of the water this creature just a couple of days after the coast near Heraklion was hit by severe weather and the sea began to rage strongly.

Photos were posted on the Internet, where you can see a very strange animal. It is stretched out on the sand, and around it are a variety of storm debris. Users under the photos began to say that the creature simultaneously resembles several different animals, namely a dog, a pig, a seal, but it can not be attributed to any of these species.

A heated discussion is also taking place on the island itself, which is the largest in Greece. Some local residents said they were afraid of this strange animal, while others found it incredibly interesting and would like to know what it is and where it came from.

One of the experts suggested a very interesting option, as well as a way to solve this puzzle. It is worth noting that the species will need to be identified in the near future and this will require several genetic texts.

Petros Limperakis, who holds the position of curator of vertebrates in one of the museums on the island, suggested that this creature may well be a badger. He believes that the animal lost its hair after being in the water for a long time. Also, the water is the reason that the creature is very swollen and began to look really creepy.
