The witness, M. Bietti, was cultivating a plot of land on his property, which occupies 3 meters above the neighboring land. A stone wall three meters high enhances the steep descent.
He turned his back to the wall and busied himself removing an oak stump with an old army rifle. As he worked, he suddenly felt like he was being watched.
He turned quickly, weapon in hand, and found that this was an incredible sight: the creature looks at him with large eyes that look like the eyes of a cow. It seemed to be leaning on a wall, and since it exceeded one and a half meters, it could be about 4.5 meters high. It had a huge head with no visible mouth, but otherwise proportioned, and was partially covered by a sort of cloak of a greenish-gray color.
The witness reacted with surprise. The creature lowered its eyes as if looking at its rifle. Then a mask appeared, covering the entire face. It was like the visor of a motorcycle helmet, but it went up rather than down. The creature suddenly lifted off the ground and flew over the trees in the blink of an eye.
His silhouette, without visible hands, ended under them with some boots and resembled the image of a grandfather clock or even a coffin.
Bietti remained motionless, dazed for several minutes before he resumed his work.

He turned his back to the wall, and was occupied in removing the stump of an oak tree, using an old army rifle. As he was working he suddenly had the impression that he was being observed. He turned around rapidly, with is weapon in hand, and found himself facing an incredible sight: a creature was looking at him with large eyes, similar to those of a cow. It seemed to be supporting itself against the wall, and since it exceeded one and a half meters, it could have been about 4 1/2 meters tall. It had an enormous head with no visible mouth, but was otherwise in proportion, it was partially covered with a sort of cape of a greenish-gray color. The witness reacted with astonishment. The creature lowered its eyes as if looking at his rifle. A sort of mask then came up, covering all of its face. It was something like the visor on a motorcycle helmet, but one, which raised rather than lowered. The being suddenly lifted itself up off the ground and in a flash, flew away over the trees. Its silhouette, without visible arms, ended underneath with boots of some sort, and called to mind the image of a grandfather clock, or even a coffin. Mr. Bietti remained immobile stunned for several minutes before he resumed his work.
