A witness crossing a bridge over a river, caught in a sudden silence.
It became known that the semi-transparent object, 30-40 feet (9-12 m) long, hovering just a few yards in front of her, had a porthole through which the creatures were seen.

One semi-transparent round object about 40 feet (12 m) in diameter at a distance of about ten feet (3 m) was seen by a female witness, an experienced observer, on the river (Humphreys, A). A masked sound was heard. A dwarf was spotted.
