The woman, Martina Santa Rosa, reported being attacked by a strange creature called "manananggal", something like the essence of a vampire.

Santa Rosa reported seeing half of her body, and naked. She had long, tousled hair, long arms, nails, and sharp fangs.

A neighbor supported her story, saying that he saw the upper half of the creature fly away from Santa Rosa's house.
