Deontologist Ivan Naranjo and two passengers were crossing a deserted valley when their car, a Nissan Jeep, started having engine problems. Soon the car stopped by the road, as its electrical system failed.
Once in the middle of the Andes foothills, Naranjo was struggling to get the car moving again when one of the passengers involuntarily gasped at what was happening in the night sky.
On the horizon heading their way, there was a surprising combination of red, green, and yellow lights that didn't match any atmospheric phenomena they could identify. They watched in obvious amazement as the multitude of flowers lit up the sky and approached, growing in size as the distance between them narrowed. A few seconds later, a huge disk-shaped device floated unsteadily in the darkness above their heads.
The object went out of control and, to their horror, almost fell right on top of them. Naranjo and his passengers were left paralyzed by what he called "muscle lethargy."
Then, suddenly, another massive disk-shaped ship appeared out of nowhere. Flying into space directly above the dangerously swaying ship, he directed a dense beam of white light at the ship, immediately stabilizing its unstable motion.
The surreal event became even more massive when two humanoids emerged from a large ship to supposedly repair an already stabilized saucer. Soon, the repaired saucer began to spin wildly on its axis, disappearing into the thick fog.
The "rescue" ship disappeared in a powerful whirlwind that swept earth, rocks, and dust from the surface below.
Exhausted by the ordeal, the shocked witnesses spent a night of restless sleep in the desert.
In the morning, they were stunned to see a landscape that gave the impression that it had been destroyed by divine fire: the ponds adjacent to the highway had turned into grim pools of mud, and the corpses of small desert rats and lizards littered the landscape, fried by some kind of radiation.
One of the passengers later died of an unknown illness, possibly related to the strange energy released by the alien vehicles over the valley.

Within seconds a huge disc-shaped device, was hovering unsteadily in the blackness over their heads. The object was out of control, and to their horror, about to crash land right on top of them. Naranjo and his passengers found themselves paralyzed by what he characterized as “muscular sluggishness.” Then suddenly out of nowhere, another massive disc-shaped craft appeared. Gliding into a space immediately above the dangerously wobbling craft, it fired a dense beam of white light at the vessel, stabilizing its erratic motion immediately. The surreal event became even more so as two humanoids emerged from the larger craft to ostensibly perform repairs on the now stabilized saucer. Soon the repaired saucer began spinning furiously on its axis, vanishing in a thick fog. The “rescue” ship vanished amid a powerful whirlwind that stripped earth, rocks, and dust from the surface below.
