The three men worked the night shift at a small observation post on top of a small hill that had a good view of South Evoicus Bay. They expected wildfires. They parked their car next to an old abandoned heliodrom with a tattered concrete landing pad.
The witnesses were sitting in a nearby kiosk when they suddenly saw a light object in the shape of a disk flying towards them low and soundlessly from a north-easterly direction. Their mobile phones, radio, and car CB stopped working at the same time. When the UFO approached them, it made a light sound, "like a small electric motor." The sound was not heard after the UFO landed, nor during the rest of the incident.
The UFO approached and landed gently on an old concrete platform about 15 meters away.
