Several residents chased a strange ape-like creature that appeared to have "wires sticking out" of its head and temples on Grand Trunk Road near the Samtel Plant. They were suddenly blinded by a powerful flashlight.

They then saw three people fleeing in a Maruti car. The men were carrying large bags of equipment. They waved to the villagers as they left.
