An eyewitness from Dedemsvaart writes:
A white ball of light moved very faintly through the air. Several more balls flew in, and they disappeared in the blink of an eye, with a small flash in the air. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos because it was too dark and I couldn't see them.

DEDEMSVAART, OV — Witte lichtbol het bewoog heel vaag door de lucht heen. Er kwamen nog een paar bollen erbij en ze waren weg in een flits er was een kleine flits in de lucht. Ik heb helaas geen foto´s want het was te donker en ik kon ze niet op de foto krijgen
