Unusual white light at high altitude, very fast with "? A disguise?" Opportunities and maneuvers On the specified date and time, my wife, her family and I were waiting for fireworks at the Ayala Mall in Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines.
We were sitting in a field with no obstacles to the sky, the weather was clear, without clouds. The fireworks were not used and were not scheduled for another 30 minutes, so it was impossible to confuse it with any other object. When I was looking at the stars, I noticed a bright white light moving from the horizon, which was in the west and was heading east.
He seemed very tall in the sky and moved quite fast for this height. I told this to my wife, who looked up and saw the light. At the time when she admitted it, it disappeared for about 3 seconds after the flash and reappeared further along the same flight path.
When he did, she asked her family to look, he flared up again and appeared two more times. Then it flared up and reappeared after turning 90 degrees and heading south. It flared up and appeared three times, and was at the border of the trees to the south of us.
The full event lasted for thirty seconds and covered the distance from the far western horizon to very close to the center of the sky above us, and then to the far southern horizon.
I am an American, I work near the international airport and the naval air base. The speed was remarkable, as was the flash and the fade/reappear factors.

Summary: Unusual white light at high altitude, very fast with ‘?cloaking?’ capabilities, and maneuvers On the date and time given, I, my wife, and her family were waiting for the fireworks at Ayala Mall, in Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines. We were sitting in a field with no obstruction of the sky and the weather was clear with no clouds. The fireworks were not being used and were not scheduled for another 30 minutes, so no confusion with any other object was possible. As I was looking at the stars i noticed a bright white light moving from the horizon which was the west heading eastward. It appeared to be very high in the sky and was moving quite fast for the altitude. I mentioned it to my wife who looked up and saw the light. At that time when she acknowledged it , it disappeared for about 3 seconds after a flash and reappeared further along in the same path of flight. When it did this she told her family to look, it did the flash again and reappeared two more times. It then flashed and reappeared after what seemed a be 90 degree turn and headed south. It flashed and reappeared three times and was at the tree line to our south. The complete event occurred within thirty seconds and covered the distance of the far westward horizon to very close to the center of sky above us, then to the far southern horizon. I am American in Law Enforcement and work near an international airport and Naval Air Station. The speed was quite remarkable as well as the flash and disappearing/reappearing factors.
