Russia

It happened on February 17, 1985. Freight train N 1702 followed the usual route through Petrozavodsk, Suoyarvi to Kostomuksha. It consisted of 70 empty gondolas and a two-section diesel locomotive.

The train was driven by the driver S.Orlov and his assistant V. Mironov. The train passed through Eseimo and continued to the station Novye Peski. At 20: 35, the crew of the locomotive suddenly noticed that on the right, behind the trees, a strange object, which is a glowing ball, was moving parallel to the train.

Suddenly, a bright ray of light stretched to the ground from the ball, then this ray seemed to be drawn back into the ball, it was drawn in, and not extinguished. A few minutes later, an incredible thing happened. The balloon changed the direction of flight, quickly went to cut the train and was 30-50 meters in front of the locomotive. The driver tried to stop the train, turned off the running engines and activated the braking system, but the train continued to move steadily behind the ball, some unknown force was pulling the train up.

The driver and his assistant had no choice but to wait for how events would develop further. Now it was possible to see this mysterious object. It was a luminous translucent ball of regular geometric shape with a diameter of about four meters.

The balloon moved ahead of the locomotive soundlessly, without touching the ground. He was pulling the train behind him, but it was impossible to understand how. Sergey Orlov contacted the person on duty at the Novye Peski station (the radio was working smoothly all the time) and tried to explain to her what was happening with the train. She didn't really understand anything, but she went out to meet the arriving train. After a while, she saw that a diesel locomotive was approaching the entrance arrow at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour, ahead of which was a glowing ball, and in front of it it was possible to distinguish some red vibrating object similar in shape to an inverted basin (the driver and his assistant did not see this object).

At the entrance arrow, the balloon separated from the locomotive and bypassed the station, but it was not possible to stop the train, and it proceeded through the station without slowing down. After the exit arrow, the ball again went to cut the train and again took its place in front of the locomotive, while there was a blow, the speed immediately fell from 60 to 30 kilometers per hour.

Various objects fell to the floor in the cab of the locomotive, and the driver and his assistant hit the windshield, but there were no serious injuries. The train began to pick up speed again. It was possible to stop the train only at the Zastava station, on the approach to which the balloon left the train and disappeared behind the forest. 3 An oncoming train was expected at this station, which was going to Petrozavodsk. The ball did not appear before its passage.

Concerned about the condition of the locomotive, Orlov descended from the cab and began to check the condition of the ramps. But at that time he saw a bright light and felt that some force pressed him against the locomotive so that he could not move. With difficulty, the driver reached the cab and at that moment the train started moving again. The balloon was again ahead of the train. And again the train continued to move under the influence of an unknown force.

After a while, the balloon suddenly broke away from the train, described an arc in the air and finally disappeared behind the forest. The whole story lasted one hour and twenty minutes, the balloon dragged the train over 50 kilometers, due to which 300 kilograms of diesel fuel were saved, and the participants of this event experienced a severe nervous shock.

The reliability of the incident is confirmed by the diagrams of the recorders installed on the locomotive, and other official documents. In addition, even before the incident with the train, the flight of a luminous ball was observed at the Kutizhma station.
