United StatesIn the autumn of 1960 all the bombers of the Travis Air Base in Northern California were put on alert for an attack on the USSR after radar systems detected numerous "targets" flying across the pole towards the United States.
Suddenly, the "targets" disappeared from the screens, and the relieved experts later explained this effect by "radar reflection from the Moon".
Another explanation is that the radars detected a huge flock of geese.
